Glassnote signs GIVERS!

GLASSNOTE RECORDS ANNOUNCE SIGNING OF GIVERS

New York, NY – Glassnote Records is proud to announce the newest addition to the independent label’s roster with the signing of Lafayette, Louisiana based band, GIVERS.

GIVERS are currently recording songs for their Glassnote Records debut album due out this year. GIVERS are Tiffany Lamson (vocals, percussion, ukulele), Taylor Guarisco (vocals, guitar), Kirby Campbell (drums, programming, vocals), and Josh LeBlanc (bass, guitar). GIVERS came together as friends somewhere between high school and college, playing in various bands around Lafayette. Eventually they would all unite for one night of improvised music at the request of a friend to fill an empty slot. It was during this night that a new connection was explored. The music that was created would reflect and define what would become GIVERS.

In 2009 GIVERS released their self-titled and self-produced GIVERS EP. Since then, GIVERS have been playing shows and catching the attention of critics and fans alike. Named the ‘Best of What’s Next’ by PASTE Magazine and a ‘Band to Watch’ by Stereogum, the influential blog describes, “their music’s packed with that sort of psychedelic buoyancy, homegrown exoticism…and rattling optimism/joy.”

“GIVERS are genuine, unique, uplifting,” says Glassnote President Daniel Glass. “Their Live show is a visceral experience that captivates you, and makes you feel like a member of the Band.”

Excited to join the label, GIVERS state, "We are really looking forward to working with the Glassnote family. We're all feeling grateful to find a team we can share a vision with."

GIVERS are currently on tour with Ra Ra Riot and will be playing shows during the 2011 SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas this March. More information on location and times to be announced shortly.
